Overview of Outreach and Progress:
Since the inception of Laurinnovations, a significant part of our journey has been focused on
building relationships with key stakeholders and officials who can help bring our mission to life.
Here’s a summary of our outreach efforts and milestones:
1. Initial Outreach to Local and State Officials:
○ We began by reaching out to local and state officials to introduce the All-In-One
Outdoor Survival Unit. Our goal was to make them aware of the product’s
potential to address homelessness and disaster relief, and to explore
opportunities for collaboration.
2. Engagement with the Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Street Homelessness
in New York City:
○ Our persistence paid off when we were contacted by the office of the Deputy
Commissioner overseeing street homelessness in New York City. They
expressed interest in learning more about our All-In-One Outdoor Survival Unit,
recognizing its potential to provide practical support to individuals experiencing
homelessness. This has opened up ongoing discussions about how the unit can
be implemented in the city.
3. Crafting Strategic Communication:
○ To strengthen our outreach, we tailored our communication to highlight relevant
initiatives, such as New York City’s City of Yes and Mayor Eric Adams’ work on
homelessness. By aligning our project with these initiatives, we presented our
solution as a complementary effort to existing city programs.
4. Preparing for a Potential Meeting with Mayor Eric Adams:
○ Understanding the importance of top-level support, we have requested a meeting
with Mayor Eric Adams to discuss how his office can assist in bringing the All-In-
One Outdoor Survival Unit to life. We plan to explore avenues for funding,
support, and potential partnerships.
5. Seeking Legal and Intellectual Property Protection:
○ Recognizing the importance of protecting our innovation, we sought
representation for the All-In-One Outdoor Survival Unit and
other inventions. This ensures that our intellectual property is secured as we
move forward with production and partnerships.
6. Crowdfunding and Community Engagement:
○ We initially planned a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the development
of the survival unit, marketing, and patent costs. However, we have since
expanded our approach to include a donation page, allowing supporters to
contribute directly to our mission.
7. Building a Strong Brand and Web Presence:
○ Understanding the power of a strong online presence, we developed a website
through SquareSpace, focusing on clear messaging and an engaging design. The site
will includes sections like Impact on the Community, Donate, and a blog to
keep our audience informed and involved.
8. Creating a Compelling Mission and Vision:
○ We’ve articulated a clear mission and vision for Laurinnovations, focusing on
innovation, social impact, and practical solutions that improve the quality of life
for individuals and communities. This mission guides all our actions and
communications, ensuring we stay true to our core values.
Looking Ahead:
With these foundational efforts in place, Laurinnovations is well-positioned to continue building
momentum. Our focus remains on expanding our network of supporters, securing the necessary
resources, and bringing our All-In-One Outdoor Survival Unit to the communities that need it
most. We are committed to making a lasting impact through innovation, compassion, and
collaboration with key stakeholders.
